Book Your Cabin For Asheville Beer Week
In the last decade, Asheville has seen a surge in local craft breweries to the area. As the number of brewers and breweries has continued to grow, so has our reputation as a destination spot for local, craft beers. From 2009-2012 we won Beer City four years in a row in an online poll, tying with our West Coast counterpart, Portland in 2009 and with Grand Rapids Michigan in 2012. Although the online poll was retired this year, in the hearts and minds of locals, Asheville will forever remain the capital of Beer City for years to come!
In celebration of our multi year winning streak, Asheville business owners, locals, and breweries took notice and celebrations started taking place all over the city, year after year. Eventually, they were organized into “Beer Week”.
What is Asheville Beer Week?
This year, beer week starts May 23-May 31st.
The week of events will include tastings, dinners, beer education, and other beer-related fun (and nonsense). Asheville Beer Week culminates with Asheville’s 5th Annual Beer City Festival on May 31, where dozens of breweries (and plenty of live music) are slated to appear on Roger McGuire Green.
Asheville Beer Week is an annual event celebrating a vital (and delicious) business (and pleasure) sector in WNC—craft beer!
